An Epic Villa-Style Restoration Hardware is Headed to Melrose

October 01, 2014

Restoration Hardware has been dreaming big these days. As in 40,000-square-feet big, which is the size of the upscale furniture retailer's European villa-inspired store (dubbed The Gallery) that's slated to debut at 8564 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood on Friday, October 24th.

Landing across the street from Urth Caffe, the massive home furnishings mecca will feature a 10,000-square-foot rooftop garden modeled after style star stomping ground the Tuileries in France, with century-old heritage olive trees offering shade to shoppers. Inside, the mostly open-air store will house an interior design center, an exclusive Ben Soleimani Rugs showroom, and an organic tea atelier by Bellocq. Additional Italian-style interior touches include an indoor courtyard, a grand double staircase inspired by Venetian architect Carlos Scarpa, and a 10-foot-tall repro of the Winged Victory of Samothrace. And yes, expect valet parking, too.
