Elizabeth Blau, Kim Canteenwalla Plan Two New Restaurants on the Westside

May 14, 2014

Hold onto your socks, Vegas. Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla, the husband and wife über restauranteur team behind Honey Salt, plan not one but TWO new restaurants on the westside.

First up, Made.LV, what Blau describes as "a modern American tavern," taking over the former home of Bradley Ogden's Hops & Harvest in Tivoli Village. The theme here, "good food, good drinks and good company."

Canteenwalla plans a comfort food menu while Blau plans to add her own healthy touch to dishes. Classic and creative cocktails and a rotation of craft beers make the bar menu. Also planned, plenty of patio seating, retro arcade games, a "club-sized" bocce court and more entertain. Expect an August 2014 debut.

Also on the docket, a second still unnamed restaurant planned for The Shops at Summerlin. Blau tells Eater Vegas the restaurant will be "an homage to all things grilled, roasted, shucked and seared."

Premium meats are the name of the game here. Seasonal market sides will accompany these dishes. Blau and Canteenwalla are bringing in heavy-hitting designer Thomas Schlesser of Bar Boulud, David Burke Kitchen and Má Pêche fame to design the space.
