Let It Go: The First Spanx in Texas Will Open at NorthPark May 16

April 30, 2014

Diets are great. But, sometimes, Spanx is just easier. And even more so, come May 16—that's when the Sara Blakely-founded brand is set to debut its first store in Texas at NorthPark Center. The so-called "jiggle-free jubilee" will begin with a Spanx tradition: An official hosiery-cutting, featuring Blakely at 10 a.m. The first 100 shoppers to arrive at the store will be able to choose a complimentary problem-solving product from the Tower of Power fixture, which houses packaged Spanx products, from shapers to pantyhose, ranging in retail price from $26 to $38. "Shaping Spree" cards, valued at $100, will also be raffled off throughout the day.

Spanx at NorthPark—located next door to La Madeleine in the East Court— is the brand's third location around the country to open this year. Each store has decor featuring bold splashes of red, Lucite finishes and high-gloss lacquer, all inspired by the brand's vibrant and colorful personality.

"We design every Spanx store to be approachable, comfortable and fun," Blakely said. "From the flattering lighting in our fitting rooms to the chic, high-energy atmosphere of the store, we make it easy for shoppers to have an enjoyable and supportive shaping experience!"
