Retail therapy: Three new pop-up stores waiting to be found by Dallas shoppers

A temporary store — whether inside a bigger store, as Nordstrom has done since 2013, in a storefront on a street or in a dedicated space in a mall — is becoming a cornerstone of brick-and-mortar retail. Among the biggest users of pop-ups are brands that start out online before deciding they want to meet new customers in physical spaces. They're among the rotating tenants in the new Neighborhood Goods concept in Plano's Legacy West that's planning a New York store later this year. And pop-ups are forcing the idea of shorter retail leases. There's even a website for that.
