Shared office provider WeWork is doubling down on its new Plano operation.

Earlier this year the New York-based co-working space company rented 25,000 square feet in the $3 billion Legacy West developmenton the Dallas North Tollway.

Now, WeWork is doubling its location in the Legacy West Urban Village complex and will have more than 50,000 square feet of work space.

"Demand continues to grow rapidly, said Debbee Hancock, WeWork's director of public affairs. "In early 2018, we'll be able to accommodate an additional 560 members at WeWork Legacy West."

WeWork is located in the same building with Boeing and Toyota Connected.

The WeWork expansion takes the Legacy West office space — located on top of the shopping center — to about 90 percent leased.

WeWork's Legacy West location is now about second in size to the company's office in the Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas.

And WeWork has a smaller location in nearby Uptown.
